8 channel ambisonic sound installation at Sergels Torg in collaboration with Elin Stampe
Disrupting Ebb and Flow is a visual and sound installation that took place in the heart of Stockholm at Sergels Torg in 2023.
This was the first time in the history of Stockholm a project with sound was commissioned at Sergels Torg thanks to curator Hildegun Varhelyi.
Created in collaboration with the visual artist Elin Stampe, the sound element of the work consists of fragments of sound recorded on Sergels torg then composed into a soundscape that sweeps over the square.
The sound piece’s duration was 24 hours and 50 minutes with a new sound erupting every 15 minutes. Every 12 hours a 40 minute composition erupted from the speakers.
